Problems we need to solve?

Educating healthcare professionals about complex conditions like COPD is often limited to dense textbooks, static visuals, or traditional lectures—methods that can feel overwhelming and disengaging.

The challenge was not only to reimagine COPD education through immersive storytelling but also to create a scalable VR platform that could transform how the medical industry approaches professional training—making learning more fun, accessible, and impactful.

My
Responsibilities

Collaborated with Sanofi’s medical experts, trainers, and product teams to define goals and learning outcomes for COPD education.

Identified key challenges in healthcare training, including complexity, low interactivity, and limited engagement.

Used brainstorming and storyboarding to map the COPD journey within the lungs, highlighting VR opportunities such as visualizing alveoli damage, pollutant flow, and patient simulations.

Designed user flows and low-fidelity wireframes to clearly communicate the project flow to all teams and ensure alignment.

Experience
Features

Immersive VR environment and realistic 3D animations  that transforms complex COPD concepts into an intuitive and visually compelling learning experience

Guided voice narration throughout the experience, making complex medical language easy to understand even for non-specialists

Haptic feedback and interactive touchpoints that let users explore healthy vs. diseased areas

Micro-interactions at every learning stage, such as touching alveoli, rotating bronchial structures, and activating pollutant effects in real time

Dynamic cause-and-effect visualization, allowing users to see degeneration when pollutants or irritants are introduced visually contrasts airflow, tissue condition, and airway obstruction side by side

Engaging, gamified learning flow, focused on exploration and professional medical education.
