Trezi
Virtual Home
Trezi Lens is a collaborative 3D platform designed to help users explore architectural visualization within a shared virtual environment
Category: Virtual Reality.
Duration: 3 Weeks
Industry: AEC Industry
What I did? : Visual Research | 3D Ideation | Art Direction

Challenges
The existing virtual environment supported product viewing and collaboration but lacked immersion.
-
Low-resolution visuals reduced realism and presence
-
The environment felt flat and inexpensive, impacting brand perception
-
Users reported low emotional engagement and no clear “wow” factor
The challenge was to elevate visual quality without compromising performance, while creating a stronger sense of presence within the space.

My
Responsibilities
-
Owned the visual vision and quality bar for the environment
-
Led research and reference alignment for realism and atmosphere
-
Collaborated closely with 3D artists on execution and refinement
-
Balanced visual fidelity with real-time performance constraints
Solution

Research-Driven Art Direction
I began by conducting visual research and gathering real-world references—architectural imagery, lighting studies, textures, and materials—to establish a clear visual direction grounded in realism.
Storyboarding & Concept Design
To define spatial flow and narrative, I created rough storyboards outlining key scenes and viewpoints. This was followed by detailed concept art to communicate mood, lighting, scale, and material quality.
High-Fidelity Execution
Working closely with 3D artists, I guided the creation of high-resolution assets using the concept art and references as a baseline. Iterative reviews focused on: Composition and scale, material accuracy and surface detail, lighting consistency and atmosphere.
Testing & Iteration
I continuously tested the environment to validate:
-
Visual alignment with the intended vision
-
Performance on the target platform
-
Overall sense of immersion and presence
