Problems we need to solve?

Limited Access to the Real Factory
Due to safety rules and live operations, giving physical plant tours to clients or new employees wasn’t easy—or always possible.

Hard to Explain a Complex Process
Knauf’s product-making journey is detailed and technical. Explaining it with just slides or manuals often left people confused or underwhelmed.

Lack of Transparency
Clients couldn’t see how innovative and efficient the factory really was. This made it harder to build trust and excitement about Knauf’s products.

My
Responsibilities

Led workshops and defined the core scenes, user interactions, and wireframes for the VR experience

Conducted research on spatial design—component sizing, user distance, and interaction depth—to ensure comfort and immersion

Created detailed documentation with structured tables for each virtual room to guide interactions and maintain intuitive flow

Designed interaction cues using spatial sound, haptics, and visual feedback to help users feel present and oriented

Improved UI based on learnings from Knauf’s earlier project, making navigation more intuitive and lifelike

Led multiple rounds of user testing to reduce disorientation, improve comfort, and ensure a grounded, realistic VR experience

Experience
Features

We created an immersive virtual plant tour that mirrors every aspect of its facility. The experience includes:

Realistic 3D Environment: A fully rendered model of the plant, showcasing everything from raw material intake to finished product packaging.

Interactive Safety Training: Users engage with equipment, safety protocols, and receive guidance on machine operations.

Process Walkthroughs: Step-by-step exploration of manufacturing stages.
